This was a lovely read. The characters were exciting, fresh, and very real with each other. He especially, was a really nice guy. What I don't get though is why a simple misunderstanding could get so way out of hand. Other than that the story had a nice flow and a nice ending.

Not Real Outlaw Choppers

Yet another coffee table picture book on the current styling trends of Choppers. Mr. Seate's excellent previous book, 'Choppers' touched on the origin of these great machines and then went on to showcase the current trends. Instead of this new book delving deeper into actual hand built outlaw machines from the glory days of the late 60's and 70's and the home built bikes of today, it also focuses on modern, big dollar builders. Some of the bikes featured such as the BMC bikes may be nice machines but they are production bikes and shouldn't be included here. The Bobber section does have some nice rides and Chica's stuff is pretty cool but you can find bikes like these in any current Harley biased custom magazine. The title suggests that you're going to see real outlaw choppers but this is just another attempt at cashing in on the current TV driven fad. Real chopper fans may be dissapointed.

Have to agree with the third review,

BUT, there's always that isn't it. A pretty good book all in all. Well worth buying USED. While I'm not a big fan of late model styles, a few interesting ideas on a couple of the scoots. Just two real nice old-style bobbers, a pan and the big flathead on the back cover. Nice color pictures. Kinda interesting reading too, if you're into that sort of thing.

Pretty good

Great pictures but some of the technical info is not accurate (Example is saying a 250 is made by Metzler when everyone knows Avon makes the 250 and Metzler makes the 240). It is an interesting read-NOT ground breaking but worth it.

Selective Basics, Width Size, Not Color.

This book is one of four books, which I have, in similar updated new editions for: the Penguin Spanish, French, Italian, and German, Phrasebooks. The four books in this series are very similar, which is a help to any student or tourist comparing the four languages. That was my buying decision here.
Book has no color print, no photographs, no heavy paper (they note recycle or such paper). Cover is as shown on Amazon with drawings. Paper inside has the pulp-like look to me. But the print is compact readable, not tiny.
Book width just fits in my safari shirt's very large chest pockets: book width is about 4.37 inches wide, while book is 6.25 inches tall, and 1 inch thick. Thus, some buyers might prefer either a larger longer more phrases book with color or a more narrow smaller-pocket-size book. Or have a rather large 4.37 inch wide pocket.
Book is selective by topic such as Bank or Hotel phrases.
Book is a basic ok selective help.
I like that it has 4 similar updated versions for Spanish, French, Italian, and German comparison.

This is such a lovely french phrasebook and is conveniently categorized by subject for easy perusal. I was surprised with how small the book itself is, it would easily fit in a purse or large pocket! I spent the following few days after receiving it, mispronouncing french phrases to the utter bewilderment of my dog.

Perfect & Practical for Paris trip!

Purchased before a trip to Paris last spring and came in SUPER helpful. Used it all the time and fit perfectly in my bag. Also, now that we've returned- it looks super cute on the shelf. The book itself has a pocket dictionary feel...nothing super fancy.
